Cheryl & Rob’s Wedding at the Royal Victoria Inn – Sheffield

I know that I’ve not blogged for some time and am basically having a mammoth blog session today, o don’t know why I’ve been putting it off as actually rather enjoy posting the odd blog,  This one is from the fabulous Cheryl & Rob who got married in sheffield the other month, the ceremony was at Wadsley Parish Church and the reception was at the Royal Victoria Inn. We had a lot of fun with this one and tried not to do too many things traditionally which included the large group shot (end of post). Some of my other brides have seen this and want the same at their weddings instead of the usual big line up. i think it also helps to break the day up a little and allow for the guests to enjoy themselves a little more than usual, which i’m pretty sure they did. The Hotel was very gracious and allowed use to carry out one of their settees to the carpark for the bridal party pics, i’m sure the other hotel guests wondered what on earth was going on with all the people in the car park with a settee – oh well rules are meant to be broken!.  Rob & cheryl are both primary School teachers and this showed with the gifts waiting at the dinner tables for the kids which included playdoh (very brave). Cheryl had to be one of the most organised brides ever, a week before the wedding i received a spreadsheet with timings on for the whole bridal party which detailed what each of the party was supposed to be doing down to very last detail (of course this came up during the speeches. I hope you enjoy the photo’s as much as i did taking them:)

www.bykelcie.co.uk

So we have another budding entrepreneur in the Clarke Household – My Wife:)

Kelcie has just started an online wedding jewellery business that is specialising in bespoke one off vintage wedding pieces along with some new stuff thrown in for added bonus. She’s basically been scouring the internet, antique stores, etc etc for old vintage things like brooches to create into headbands, fascinators, hair slides and so on. She’s very clever:), Fortunately for her her husband (me) is a photographer so I’ve been commissioned (for free – because i’m kind like that ) to do some product and promotional shots for her. if you have time take a look at her lovely website there are things on it too that you can wear everyday from necklaces to earrings www.bykelcie.co.uk  . here are some of the pics so far – enjoy

Ali & Rachel’s Sheffield Pre Wedding Shoot at Sheffield Train Station

Sorry for the Lack of updates on the Blog of late, but got loads to go on, just really been real, really really Busy  - which is a good thing:)

Ive just doe Ali & Rachels pre wed shoot and decided to do it at Sheffield’s fab railway station and just a round it, its a great victorian railway and the platforms still have the original victorian gantry’s and covered etc. just outside the station it has recently undergone an amazing makeover which ties in the Victorian Architecture to a modern sculptured landscape which gives a little indication to sheffield’s heritage with a massive polished stainless steel wall and fountains. Loved the Shoot and i hope you like it too. I liked the shot of Ali & Rachel walking alongside the train, i liked the indication between old and new with the modern train and Victorian ironwork along with the strong leading lines. Mind you i liked all the shots posted here but maybe i am a little biased:).

I’m Photographing Ali & Rachels Wedding in just over a weeks time and it sounds like its going to be a great relaxed informal wedding in the Derbyshire Peak District. Cant wait!.
